2004R Inspection Cover

I have 2004R behind a 454 with a 168 tooth flexplate and can't find an inspection cover that fits. I have a metal one and a plastic one and the sump parts hit the flexplate before the mating surfaces come close to the trans, leading me to believe that they are for the smaller 153 tooth flexplates. Any ideas on what to use, or GM part # that I can look for? Thanks.

Re: 2004R Inspection Cover

We've done this before and seems there's not really a cover that fits with a BBC.
Going back a few years ,I've posted the numbers I have and most have tried them but don't fit properly.
Think you'll end up modifying any one you choose.
