Re: Legend Gear and Transmission LGT700/Keisler SS700 vs. Tremec TKO

Jerry,

The length is virtually the same:

TKO= 24.07"
LGT= 24.05"

If you have a TKO and want to convert, you can keep your driveshaft, speedo cable, isolator mount and reverse light pigtail. Easy swap!

The TKO weighs in at 99 lbs and I do not have the official weigh in for the LGT just yet but it's heavier; I would guess around 115 lbs by picking up the two.

The LGT700/Keisler SS700 will offer more than 15 unique shifter positions and the model shown is a mid-shift for street rod applications. It's also been the red headed step child so to speak and has been put through the wringer; it's undergoing a seize test today and the trans dyno is hummin'!

Thanks for the info. Now ,how long before a fella could order one and have it shipped in a reasonable amount of time, like a week or 2

As everyone knows, we've had quite a mess with the RS600 lead times but that will not be repeated with Legend Gear and Transmission on board.

Units are scheduled to begin shipping the end of this month and I expect to have fresh orders (placed within the last few weeks) to ship sometime in September/early October. It's difficult to to project lead times at this point since we still have to establish production rates and scheduling; once we get through August I should have a better idea of what to expect.

Demand will obviously be the biggest factor to consider and we expect this trans to be extremely popular, even more so than the RS.

Tom Terrific or Terrible Tom, depending on the phase of the moon, passing cosmic rays or other factors not fully understood except by my wife.
