Picking out a clutch McLeod Street Extreme 75324

I originally was putting an FTI th400 in my car, which I have, but I want to have a little fun with the M20 I have . No driveline is in the car currently. My motor made 678hp/604tq on the engine dyno so I need something fairly good to run. I don't plan on running the car at the track with the 4 speed so it would be pretty much a street only car for now. I looked at the McLeod Street Extreme Clutch Kit GM X 1-1/8 X 10-Spline part#75324. Says it can handle 700ftlbs of torque. Any one tried this clutch? Just looking a " good, low cost" unit for now to use.

I had one of these clutches.

Street duty you will be fine.

At the track it didn’t take long for mine to go in the 3-4 shift.

Re: Picking out a clutch McLeod Street Extreme 75324

If you want a good clutch for a driver I would suggest looking at the LuK line of clutches.
I have been using a LuK 04-020 in my 655 HP Monte for about 5 years now.But this same clutch has been in my Monte for 16 years and still has lots of life left in it.
It is easy to use,does not grab or chatter.
Mine is for a 26 spline,but they do offer a 10 spline model;

The only thing that I didnt like is that the throw out bearing is partially made of plastic.
I use an all steel Hays TOB;

I went with the McLeod Street Extreme 75324 as well. Seems like a good choice for my 467 street car. I like the idea of the ceramic disk, I've always used the organic.

Found it online for $300 after a coupon code plus free shipping.

Does it chatter much? How is the pedal feel?

it was less than the centerforce 2 clutch I had before this one, but still about 15-20% more effort than stock I would say.

chatter, none, basically. it is still a sprung hub assembly. in very certain situations I would say a small amount. 95% of my driving I did not notice any chatter.

pretty sure I did a write up about this clutch a while back if you want to try and search for it. as well flywheel weights.

Re: Picking out a clutch McLeod Street Extreme 75324

Gofast, I read your thread on the 75324 clutch.

Just ordered the 75324. For the price, it will do what I need right now.

Clutch came in today. Maybe next month I can start on the car and get the drivetrain stabbed in.
