Does your a/c stay cool all the way down to idle and hold cool at prolonged idle?

This would be your Matson set up for your car. https://the-fan-man.com/product/64-6...igsmall-block/
I'm sure this is what my mechanic is recommending. Current radiator appears to be stock. Engine is a ZZ4 350 c.i.d. 355 hp, with Fi-Tech fuel injection. A/C is Vintage air and fan (with shroud) was upgraded to 6 blade clutch fan when A/C was installed.

Recently with stop and go around town driving, extensive idling in heavy traffic temp reached a bit over 220*. I didn't like that so that's why I'm looking into improving my cooling system. When I noticed the temp I turned off the A/C. It was cool at idle.

I really need to know how many rows your current radiator has to be able to recommend a replacement. Pull your radiator cap off and count the rows of tubes. It should be 2, 3 or 4.

You can definitely use a little added capacity in your cooling system.

Four (4) rows in current radiator. And, CORRECTION: fan is a 5 blade (not 6 blade) clutch fan.
