WOW, you should see what is behind that link! What browser do you use? If IE, go to settings, advanced, and then reset, then restore advanced settings, (make sure you check the box). This will set your browser back to factory default, and you will have to retype all passwords and remember stuff like that, but should get rid of all add ons the easiest way.
The behind the scenes on the link are...

Re: So has the Site been hacked ?

No ,not just on your computer.
I don't see them because I have Ghostery installed and that blocks them.
If your using Firefox ,just install from the add-ons in the tools slection.

Re: So has the Site been hacked ?

It's been quite a while now so I don't remember how I got it stopped now, maybe with malwarebites or ccleaner or popup blocker.
I think I was using Firefox back then.

It seems to me that it's not totally on your computer because like you said it only happens here on TC BUT something on your computer is allowing it or something not on your computer would be not allowing it.

Other folks know a lot more about such stuff than I

Nothing here. Ad blocker plus

If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

OK, I putzed around. It is part of the site itself, but via ad/tracking crap. I disable my adblock plus, and I see them in the forum listings. I re-enabled it, and they are gone.
I do go in and allow some site through it, but a lot of them it is horrible, and I block them all.
If you install anything like adblock plus, you have to keep in mind that it could cause other problems. For example I was on dodge.com looking at new inventory in my area, and the site just sat and spun, never would load cars in my area. I turned off AdBlock Plus, and it worked fine, since it was going out to other sites pulling in data, it was acting like getting random advertisements from sites, so it was blocked.
