I was wondering if anyone has installed a new dual gate shifter into a 69 chevelle with a sonsole? I was going to use a B&M quicksilver but really want the stock look. I know that they were'nt available stock for chevelles but could be ordered in old's and pontiacs. thanx

The Yenko dealership installed them in most of the TH400 Yenko Chevelles. Some were left column shift - a few had the horse shoe shifter but most had the Hurst Duel Gate shifter installed with a small Hurst plastic console. I did see a 69 Chevelle with a Hurst Duel gate installed in a stock console with a home made shift plate. The wood grained Hurst plate was bolted down to the home made shift plate and didn't look too bad.

My Chevelle's in the shop for a restoration, but dust and all here's a photo of the Hurst Dual Gate II installed in the factory console.
