I know some of this stuff is re-produced under license, but it should be a pretty good match to the original..

great list.

I just recieved my GM center caps for my 72 SS wheels and they are not the same as originals .. . the blue is not reflective like the originals.

That sucks big time.

I guess they are ok for a driver but not really correct.

I forget the numbers but the door striker bolts are still available. Seems the same bolts fit back to 67 at least and probably back to 64.

I know that some of the stuff that is available thru GM is definitely different from the original GM issue stuff, but, it's still generally better than no=name Tawain stuff. For instance the sill plates from GM are different in that the originals had the "Fisher" tad riveted on. The new ones are not.

The 3936289 and 3936290 parts are actually the small pieces of trim on the fenders adjacent to the "rear of hood" molding.

Does anyone have the correct numbers for the front wheel well trim?

I ordered the 8700947 and 8700946 wheel well moldings that Noneck mentioned above for 69 "chevelle". They fit my 69 "el_Camino" perfectly! Good to know since I've seen conflicting reports on this.

Re: GM parts that are still available through GM??

Hi,
I came across this during an internet search -
I am trying to find out what years this part is for....
Hood Molding Gm # 3936293............is it only for 1969 Chevelle
or does it fit other years & other makes & models?

I have a 71 Monte SS and was wondering if it would fit.
Thanks!
