64 wagon sending unit

Hey guys, I originally posted this in the wagon section but didn't get a response. Will the standard reproduction 64 fuel sending unit fit a wagon or are the wagon units different? I know that the 64 uses a lower ohm unit than 65-72, Year One lists a 64 sending unit while most other suppliers including Ground Up don't seem to, they show a 64-67 unit. No one that I've found actually lists a sending unit for a 64 wagon. Does anyone repro the wagon unit if they are different. Thanks Guys!

Yes the 64 wagon unit is different from the El Camino or Malibu/300. I dont know of a source for the wagon sending unit.

Re: 64 wagon sending unit

I used a 65 sender in my 64 (0-90 ohms). Wanted one with a 3/8 outlet instead of the 5/16 outlet and couldn't find a 64 sender like that at the time. What I did was hang a 39 ohm 10 watt resistor between the sender wire and ground on the back of the gage. It doesn't work perfectly but does give a close enough reading to let you know when you are running out of gas.
