Relay Wiring

I currently have a windstar dual fan set-up wired with a relay for each fan. The wire that turns the relays on runs through a temp switch in the radiator. I would like to add a second temp switch so each fan could come on at a different temp. I found a painless wiring temp switch that screws into the block, but it creates a ground with the switch is on. How can you wire this type of switch with a relay? Can you run a constant hot wire to the switching side of the relay and run the ground side of the relay to this switch, or would that burn out the relay or cause some other type of problem? Sorry if I'm making this more confusing then it is.

Re: Relay Wiring

That's how mine is wired. +12V to the relay coil. Gnd on the coil goes to the temp switch in the intake.

Re: Relay Wiring

Thanks Dave, I will give it a try, I was worried about hurting the relay by using the ground to switch it.
