64 ignition cylinder problem

Hey guys, I replaced the ignition cylinder in my 64 wagon in the hopes that it would stop you from being able to start the car without the keys, it didn't. I guess I neeed to replace the ignition starter switch, will that remedy my problem? Thanks in advance

Re: 64 ignition cylinder problem

There is a "lock" position on the switch. If you use that, you need the key to get back out of lock. Unless your tumblers are worn out, then it's time for new tumblers.
