early 90s motor home alt?

Im going to be looking at a complete 454 pullout from a early 90s motor home. Is the alternator a good donor for a 66 chevelle? I know its a internal regulated alt. Also its a long waterpump which is fine. Plan ks to use the motor, alt hei and carb. And brackets. Jim

Re: early 90s motor home alt?

its prob a higher amp output
the rpms may be limited depending on the size,
that may require a larger pulley to slow alt down ... ??

I decided to not buy the motor. Price was good but in the end I would have ended up using the long block,
