67 SS 396 dash light locations question

Hey guys, another question. The original owner replaced the speedo and he never put the dash lights back in. They are basically hanging. Is there a go by to where they go? I'm going to get up under there and put them back into place. I might as well put new bulbs while they are out so any info part number or color wise would be great. Thanks in advance.

Re: 67 SS 396 dash light locations question

First, there is no SS396 dash, it's the same as a 67 Malibu dash. If you are just concerned with the dash lamps, they all have gray, 20ga. wire. Other, specific lamps like generator, oil pressure, high beam, etc. do have different color wires.

All of the bulbs are industry number 1895 - brake warning, clock, directional signals, generator, glove compartment, high beam indicator, heater controls, instrument cluster, oil pressure warning and temperature indicator. Each lamp socket on the back of the cluster has the color of the wire for the lamp that goes there such as LT GREEN, DK GREEN PINK, DK BLUE PINK, etc. I'd try to find someone with a 67 dash that's out of the car to easily see where each lamp goes. Just be sure it's a 67 dash cluster and not a 66, they ARE different. Also if yours is a FACTORY gauge dash, it'll be different than a non-gauge dash.
