My Dash Harness connector wires broke?

I was putting my dash harness connector underneath dash and some of the wires broke. I assume that I can just connect them together without the connector. Is that correct?

I hope so because I don't know how I am going to get connectors out and find new ones. I am using the American Auto Wire Classic Update. I think I may have crimped them to hard or they are just old.

You can just put them together however you see fit!
Solder, male/female connectors, butt splices, whatever!
Just make sure you match the colors!!

Thanks. I thought I could but wasn't sure. The only inconvenience is that if I have to take dash out again, I would have to cut wires.

Re: My Dash Harness connector wires broke?

Darren, have you ever wired a dash in tach from shiftworks into American Autowire Classic Update?
Thanks, David

Don't cut and splice them. They are part of the turn signal switch, correct (coming out of the steering column)? You appear to have a Classic Update kit. We give you new terminals to make a connection or repair to the stock turn signal switch. Just pic the old terminals out of the turn signal switch connector, crimp on the new terminals and plug them in accordingly.

Donny, can I order new terminals because I don't think I have anymore?

Re: My Dash Harness connector wires broke?

The terminals that broke off are ones that came with the Classic Update kit. I probably crimped old turn signal switch to hard or they were just a bit brittle so I need some new terminals.
