Brake Light Switch with CC

On my '69 Malibu with 200 4R I have a GM brake light switch for a cruise control car, only I use the CC terminals for my lock-up convertor. Well the switch (new 4 years ago) crapped out so will get a new one from a local auto parts store this time (much cheaper). Since Chevy didn't offer cruise control in '69 Chevelle, what other years and models of Chevy will the switch with CC will fit a '69? Mounting threads and brake light wiring terminal are the determining factors, must match up.

Re: Brake Light Switch with CC

Von,

Your choices are many. GM used the basic brake/cc switch on many models for many years. 1960s-1980s.

I did a search on RockAuto and said I have a 1975 Camaro with V-8.

Thanks. I suspected that might be the case but didn't know for sure. I tried a few examples of 70's and 80's Chevys and they were the same part number.

Re: Brake Light Switch with CC

FWIW I was able to fix the existing one by removing the easily removable cover and straightening a contact.

I've fixed a couple that way.
