Mounting the voltage regulator..and some

1970 Chevelle SS - I am having trouble finding the proper mounting place for the delco remy voltage regulator. I also want to ensure I install my engine and forward lamp harness "correctly". Where should this be run? I am not sure where the parking lamp and fog lamp wires pass through either. There is also a wire that comes directly out of my firewall between the coil and washer pump. Is this normal? Does this wire connect to - of coil?

Thank you.

PS, if anyone with a proper Chevelle is in Plainfield, IN area just bring your Chevelle by and I'll copy. I also have to install the cowl induction stuff. Havn't tried yet but one to look at more closely would be helpful

Re: Mounting the voltage regulator..and some

The voltage regulator mounts on the radiator support below the drivers side low beam headlight. The condenser for it mounts underneath it using one of the VR mounting screws. Also, the horn relay mounts next to it behind and below the high beam headlight.

Awesome, thank you. I'll head out to the garage and see what I can do.

Chris,

I would highly recommend you purchase an Assembly Manual. These are copies of original work instructions for assembling the vehicles. It would show you the location of parts, what holes are meant for what wire chases, harness routing and correct orientation. This will save you a lot of time unless you do find a buddy with a correctly restored vehicle to literally copy off of.

Thanks coppertop, I should have done that ages ago. I have tinkered my way through sooo much of this build. I probably would have saved myself tons of time had I purchased a manual ages ago.
