1967 Chevelle with new AAW Problems

Afternoon forum members, perhaps you guys can help me out. Just installed a upgraded American Autowire kit in my 1967 Chevelle SS. Here are the problems I'm having. The car is completely put back together except for the steering column and the driver seat.

Center Console lights are on all the time, they go out with the headlight switch turned on.

No brakelights.

No Tach (BlinkerTach).

Radio has power, but unable to dial up any AM/FM channels.

Mike,

I'm sure Donny will chime in, but I'll start-up with the basics.

Center console lights sounds like a possible mis-wire. Are you talking about the bulbs the light up the shift indicator or the console light in the rear (the passenger courtesy bulb)?

Gray feeds the shift indicator lamps (gray is the dimmable dash lighting circuit). They ground to the sheetmetal of the car.

Orange (constant hot) and white (switched ground) feed the console courtesy light.

No Tach....do you have power and ground and signal connected? Have you verified it has 12 volts on the power feed and good ground connection?

No brake lights....with your column not assembled, and your tunsignal switch not hooked up, you will not have brake lights. Brake lights go thru the turnsignal harness assembly.

Radio....is the antenna feed hooked up? If no sound at all, do you have the speaker(s) hooked up?

-If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
