repairing parking lamps

my 1st post other than introduction. I am new owner of 64 Malibu convertible and a new to chevelles. Had trouble with one parking lamp, I removed the housing and the socket is loose from the housing. It looks like someone tried to braze it at some time, unless perhaps thats original? I would appreciate suggestions on how to replace and attach the socket. Also what color where the housing painted and the interior/reflector portion? thanks
