SS dash conversion-2

I think this orange wire is for the Clock power? (It exits the wiring loom right at the same spot as the dash guage connecter).

The cig lighter orange power wire is already connected, right near the cig lighter.

(I have all of the repair manuals for the chevelle including the special wiring diagram book but none seem to help).

Re: SS dash conversion-2

Thank you. It seems to power the clock now! The clock is now ticking!

Chas, you would be wise to pull that fuse while you are working on the car. A dead battery will kill a clock wind mechanism.

Re: SS dash conversion-2

It's also a good idea to install a 2 amp inline fuse on the clock wire if you still have the factory clock (not one of the quartz conversions). The 2 amp fuse will blow before the windings on the relay coils burn up. When those windings burn up, your clock is FUBAR.
