New Wiring Harness For My 64 Chevelle

After fighting trying to get all of my lights and various electrical working, I have decided to upgrade/replace my factory wiring harness. I was hoping to get some suggestions on which wiring kit everyone likes, as far as cost and the 'easiness' of installation?

The car is pretty basic (carbeurated, no crazy electronics etc), I'm basically wanting to make sure that I can get all of my lights, switches etc working. I plan on driving this car to work on occasion so getting this straightened out is a must.

Thank you for the tips.

Hey there fellow Nebraskan

Hands-down, there are only 2 to be considered. American Autowire and M&H Electrical fabricators.

They make exact reproduction wiring that fits plug-n-play just like the stock wiring and connectors. Both can make "customized upgrades" when you order if you want to make things more modern like an internally regulated alternator and HEI distributor.

Most would lean towards American Autowire due to not only the praise, but Donny is a tech representative that posts here as well. Make sure you look at the "factory fit" line, as these are meant as factory original style replacements.

If you try to save money buy going with a "custom kit", you will more then spend the $$$ on time lost and frustration.

-If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
