New starter - clicking/ticking noise

Okay, got a new straight bolt Mini 3hp starter bolted on today to my 350/th350 with HEI.

Fired right up the first time and cranked over easy as expected.

When I went to start the car again for the 3rd time to head out for work a very loud constant tick nose came from underneath the car. I assume the started is hitting the fly wheel now, din't have time to get under there and look.

How can I address this issue? I am using (2) .20 spacers and they provided 2 other style spacers that were not utilized.

Double check your clearances and bolt torque.

Your just jealous because you can't hear the voices!

Re: New starter - clicking/ticking noise

Is there a specific torque spec for starter bolts?

Turned out my flexplate is warped...Spacers got the starter out of the way but a new issue uncovered to fix!
