AAW Upgrade 67 Chevelle

Hey guys, I’m in the planning stage for my AAW Upgrade wiring harness project, for my 67 Chevelle. I’m finding the instructions are very well put together but I find myself wondering how/where to route the wires and where to put certain components.

Part of my problem is that I lack creativity.

Would you guys mind posting some pictures of your AAW Upgrade projects?

I’m interested to see options on where you guys mounted the mega fuses.

I’m also adding an MSD 6A. I was thinking of installing it on the upper firewall, above the heater box. The thing is that it kinda turns into a focal point, mounted there. I’d rather not run it in the interior.

I’m also running a Holley Terminator so I need to also mount the ECU. I’m thinking of trying to also locate it in my engine bay. Yeah I know, there is not a ton of space in there.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Re: AAW Upgrade 67 Chevelle

I will be doing the AAW Classic Updated Harness (ATO Fuses) in the Future

Depending how big the ECU is there might be room for it Up on the Firewall Above the Coil / behind the DriverSide Valve Cover

Re: AAW Upgrade 67 Chevelle

Joe , one thought, i have the MSD box affixed to a piece of oak which is mounted behind the battery. I also do not prefer them as focal points.

Unless the MSD box gets warm during operation, see if it will fit above the glove box under the dash cover.

Re: AAW Upgrade 67 Chevelle

Greg, nice valve covers! Ansen? Where did you stash the mega fuses?

Gene, mounted between the battery and passenger fender?

Rick, I thought about possibly mounting it to the heater box in the interior but the glove box nearly butts up to the heater box as it is. It’s pretty cramped under there, as I remember. Right now the dash is out, since I’m in the process of wiring the vehicle, so I can’t tell where I have free space.

Red face Re: AAW Upgrade 67 Chevelle

Absolutely no one has any AAW photos to show off of their upgrade kits? I find that unbelievable.

Re: AAW Upgrade 67 Chevelle

I had my wiring install mostly complete on my 64 El Camino, but I had to remove the interior dash wiring in order to fix my rotten dash top and windshield channel.
No pics of it before I removed it. Sorry.
