Wire harness

Just finishing up a heater core on my daughter's 2011 jeep liberty. Coolant saturated carpet on both side on a little in rear. Wiring harness under seats sit in valleys that were sitting in coolant. My question is how far do I have to go to clean wires. Is wiping them down good enough? Soap and water? Thanks. Mark

Re: Wire harness

If the insulation is unbroken, wipe them dry. Any connectors that got wet will need more attention. Disconnect and spray the connectors with WD40 or similar to displace any moisture and inspect the pins & sockets for any corrosion.

Owning a Chevelle project is like having a giant-size piggy bank that you keep pouring money into....but you can't get it back out.
