1967 Chevelle Console Clock

I have purchased a 67 Chevelle with console clock which does not work.

What would be the best options?

Re: 1967 Chevelle Console Clock

I disassembled my 67 console (Westclocks) clock last week and got it going again with a tiny bit of light oil on the mechanism. These clocks have a solenoid that winds the clock and it's only good for a couple minutes before it needs to rewind again. The solenoid, if it's good kicks on every minute or so to rewind it.

Owning a Chevelle project is like having a giant-size piggy bank that you keep pouring money into....but you can't get it back out.

I'll get this sort of wrong ( its been 20yrs) , but Instrument Repair Service in Michigan converted mine to quartz.

In my 66 I disconnected the console clock, it was a battery killer. I bought a clock (same face size) that uses AA batteries, took the face off the factory clock and installed it on the battery clock. No more no starts after three weeks of not running the car.
