Fuses

Hi All, I am finally at the point of re-installing my instrument panel. I bought a AAW stock replacement harness, so it uses glass fuses. I never gave the fuses a second thought as i was wiring up the gauges and such, but now find myself in need of fuses. I did the google search, a lot of amazon stuff, one ad says " you will like our quick blow fuses". Hmm, no i won't. So, my question is, where can i get good quality glass fuses for my '68? Oh, i went looking locally for bulbs, for tail lights, etc. 1156 and 1157's $5.99 for 2 bulbs. I went to Bulbs and batteries because i heard they had discounts, Whoa Nelly, $ 4.95 each. I found bulbs for .49 cents on Rockauto. Just need to find the fuses. Terry

Re: Fuses

For the most part, most glass fusses are quick blow and that's what you want.

I've always used BUSS fuses...I guess the are called Bussman. https://smile.amazon.com/Bussmann-Gl...ds=glass+fuses

That kit is probably enough to do your entire fuse box. You may need 1 more smaller fuse to get the complete set. Walmart probably has best prices....check it out if you're into Walley. Give you a link so you can compare prices with others...https://www.walmart.com/ip/BUSS-AGC5...TY-5/495970232

I think your right Terry. They fooled me. It is BUSS fuses and I think Bussman is a brand of Eaton. Looks like 2 different brands, Not sure where either are made anymore. I still get Buss at Napa. Ran a search and saw Walmart had them too. https://www.waytekwire.com/item/2227...-Series-NO-44/

I went to o'reilly first, the fuses they had were not that cheap. I live in commiefornia, everything has a greenie tax on it . I was shopping Rockauto over the weekend, wanted to buy light bulbs, fuses ,and emergency flashers, i bought the bulbs ,cheap, did not see any fuses, and after i clicked on the flashers to purchase, a pop-up comes on the screen telling me these can't be shipped to ca. because of some prop 65 B.S. Rant over. Terry

Re: Fuses

Buss and Bussmann are the same company, a division of Eaton.
