Chevelle sweep dash led conversion

Last year I changed all the sweep bulbs to led bulbs on my speedometer. They worked for about a few seconds then blow the instrument fuse. And if I put a led bulb in the heater control it doesn’t work at all. Only with a filament bulb? I just wanted to brighten it up a little and I’m in the process of restoring the entire dash assembly, so I’m deciding if I should do it again. Just looking for any thoughts on why the fuse would blow with these. Thanks.

Re: Chevelle sweep dash led conversion

Try installing the LEDs one at a time. I suspect that one of them is defective and maybe shorted out.
