Neutral safety switch question

Just got a new ignition switch and a neutral safety switch in the mail. I am actually reading the instructions from Airtex/Wells. Here is the puzzlement. It tells me to align the switch by putting a .092 pin in the "locating hole". This is aligned front to back. I do that and there is no continuity on the NSS terminals. It also tells me to install said pin in the "service hole" which is on top of the switch. (This produces continuity.)Then install the switch. I assume that I will be using the alignment that produces continuity. So what is the deal with 2 sets of holes? Any thoughts on this ?
