68 chevelle flashers won't work

i touch brake pedal and flasher lights on dash lites up, what is going on? turn signal work fine. thanks

You mean brake lights?
There are no flashers on the brake lights.

Johnny,

Are you saying that when you apply the brakes the turn signal indicators on the dash light up?
Are the lights on the rear/front of the car working?

yes all the lights are working as they should,turn signal as well.tried flashers again nothing this time not even when i touch brake pedal this time.

Could a bulb in wrong, or wrong bulb cause this? Shorting brake to turn filaments?
