Can someone guide me though cleaning the contacts & oiling a 66clock?

I had a shop replace the electro magnets a about 12 yrs ago. The clock is kind of on the stop and go scenario. Works sometime, stops at other times. I know it will never keep accurate time; but still want to retain the original clock and not convert. I have heard some people have success cleaning the contacts and doing some minor oiling. I installed a fuse to avoid the issue with a low battery or a jump start. This is a clock in the console. Thanks.

Thanks Bruce. You don't happen to be a member of NorthStar Chevelle Club? I know there are a few guys who are that are from the White Bear area.
