68 dash harness has a few cut wires

what is recommended to join these two wire back together? will butt connectors work with heat wrap. THANKS

I would slide the needed size heat shrink over 1 wire and twist the wires together end to end not side by side then solder and slip the heat shrink over it and heat it, you'll never have a problem with it but I've done a million crimp connections on a/c stuff without problems too
