Blinker switch problems?

Just got a new blinker switch installed and had problems, Both back blinkers would turn on as if the hazards were on no matter which way you turned them, Yet the front blinkers worked fine, However if you had the blinkers on and pushed the brake light whatever front blinker was working would go to a solid instead of flashing. And when you push the brakes at any time both green blinker indicators on the dash light up? Just got a new switch hoping that’ll fix it, Anyone got any suggestions if problem isn’t gone?

Re: Blinker switch problems?

I think it's either a bad switch or the wiring got hosed when the new switch was installed.

Re: Blinker switch problems?

You need to start at the beginning to get the best help with your problem.
1. What are you working on? year make and model
2. Why was the turn signal switch replaced? What problems did you have?
3. What, if any, other work was done at the same time?
4. What have you done to troubleshoot the issue?
5. What other new parts were installed recently? Since this work was necessary?

A complete review of your situation will yield quicker and more complete answers to your questions and less guess work.
