MSD box

I installed a msd box and now I have run on... has anyone put in the diode they tell you to put in? And which wire to the alternator did you put it on? It says the smaller of the two wires but both of mine are the same... thanks...

re: MSD box

You can attach inline of the wire at the voltage regulator that runs from terminal 4 on the voltage regulator to the charging light. Find the regulator, find the plug with blue, white, red and brown wires. Terminal 4 has a brown wire. the diode needs be go inline with the brown wire with the stripe located towards the regulator.

Diodes are used to allow voltage to flow only one way. Make sure the Diode is installed facing the proper direction.

That makes it easy. Get one of these. Plug it in and go.

re: MSD box

I thought I was going to hear about some new-fangled invention, the “mad” box. Couldn’t wait to discover what it was.

Mencken: “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
