70 chevelle hood to cowl seal. Who makes the softest

Just purchased a new cowl to hood seal, it's too stiff, on my last two chevelles I bought a softer one but don't recall the brand,it was either Soft Seal or Metro, the one I bought does not say the brand, does any one know which company makes the softer one. THKS

I don't remember the seller or if a brand was even listed on it but I bought mine on ebay. It specifically said it was the sponge soft rubber which you want and need. I had no luck with the big name dealers they would say it was the soft one but it would kick the rear of your hood up. You can always spot them on cars at shows because of the rise at the rear of the hood.

Just an update on this, Metro makes the best. Put it in and hood closes perfectly

That is what I was looking for. I am new to the Forum. Just picked up a '72 Chevelle SS 402 big block. It needs the cowl to hood seal. Just ordered the Metro parts. Thanks.

There are 2 seals in that area. One mounts to the cowl and the other to the hood. Metro makes both.

The seal on the hood is Metro # 5070-A
the cowl seal is CS-5

As Bob stated both are available from Summit Racing.
