1966 El Camino

I’m looking for the front grill Emblem for my 1966 El Camino .
I have found the emblem that says “Chevelle” but I am looking for the one that specifically says “el Camino”. See image to clarify

Re: 1966 El Camino

I have never restored a 66 but have done other years.

Don't believe that the El Camino badge in the pic was OEM, most likely an aftermarket piece.

Hope this helps.

The '66 el camino grill emblem you are looking for is pretty hard to find. All '66 el Camino's had this grill emblem. They are out there, you just have to really spend some time searching and they are usually not cheap.

Incorrect info.

The "El Camino" grill emblem in the picture is indeed OEM, and was on EVERY 1966 El Camino ( all 35,119 of them).

I have not seen this part reproduced, and rarely see them for sale...

Here is a properly painted one. Note the white in the top and red in the bottom sections, matching the quarter and tailgate emblem details.

Re: 1966 El Camino

I searched Craigslist, all USA, ALL Canada, ALL Mexico and eBay. None, zero, zilch. Search Tempest is your friend with these types of searches.

If you have an original, there are places that can replate and repaint them.

Put a wanted add in the classifieds here and you might get lucky. Also, hit up a few ElCamino sites on fAke bOOk.

The repop Chevelle emblems are about 40 bucks and wouldn't look too bad in the meantime.

I've never looked at one of those up close, didn't notice the red/white. Helps with one of my pet peeves where people put El Camino Tailgate Emblems upside down.

I found 2 a few years ago. One went on my rig, and I sold the other one for mucho dinero!

Re: 1966 El Camino

When I bought my Malibu emblem for my Chevelle at Desert Muscle Car in Tucson, they also had the El Camino emblem in the display case. That was 19-20 years ago. I never gave it any thought, didn't realize they were rare. Sorry, Desert Muscle Car closed a few years back.
