66 Dash assembly and hardware

I have taken a time out under the hood of our restoration and decided to focus on the interior.

There is nothing in the assembly manual regarding how the dash does together. Some of it is pretty self explanatory but considering I am trying to put a bunch of parts into a bare shell that I didn't originally take apart, its a bit daunting.

One issue I am running into is the 9 screws (7 across the top 1 on each side) where the lower dash meets the upper dash. There are plastic inserts inside, and I am missing 2. I can't find a hardware kit ANYWHERE that seems to meet what I need. My wife called Ground Up and they sounded clueless as to what she was referring to.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

AMK Products...
NPD carries AMK, or you can buy direct...

https://www.npdlink.com/store/produc...-111228-8.html

Or direct from AMK

https://www.amkproducts.com/default.htm

G-5608, $8...

You can probably even buy just the 2 you need, but no sure how you'd know which parts to get... $8 is pretty cheap anyway, and you get all 9 with screws, brand new...

Once you go RAT, you never go back...

Re: 66 Dash assembly and hardware

AMK has a $30 minimum-order. We have no minimum order, but we do have a $9 minimum shipping. Our prices for AMK kits are identical to buying direct from AMK, and we keep it all in stock (sometimes AMK has to build-to-order, and it can take them a bit longer).

Just some FYI's!!

Re: 66 Dash assembly and hardware

I have bought AMK Products directly from them and thru NPD also. It's all quality stuff. In the late 60's early 70's I actually worked for a company that made a lot of clips and bolts that were used in our cars. The companies name was Anchor Fasteners out of Waterbury CT. You can tell if it was manufactured by them by looking on the clip or on the head of a bolt and seeing a little Anchor on it.

Thanks, Didn't see the link was from '16, gah. Looked like someone from NPD was in the thread, and thought it might be useful for others to have.
