70 steering wheel

Considering buying a steering wheel from The Muscle Factory. Any pros or cons about their quality?

Re: 70 steering wheel

Stock wheel or sport grip wheel? I just ordered one from a guy on ebay. I got the wheel, hub, horn contacts, and horn button for $174.00. I think that's what just the wheel is going for at most places like Ground Up and NPD. It should be here in the next few days, so I'll let you know how it looks.

Sport 3-spoke wheel. You might be looking the same place I was. I think "sonnie 24" was the name. I asked a question about who the manufacturer was. They said The Muscle Factory. Please do let me know when you get it. Also who you got it from. THANKS

Re: 70 steering wheel

DN,

That's the guy! It (sport 3 spoke) just arrived today and from what I can tell, it looks pretty good. Keep in mind that it's a repop, but it looks as good as any other repo's I've seen. The horn button looks just like my original and the hub looks like its the same sheen (and its black) as my steering column. I'm going to install it tonight, so I'll let you know how it fits. It cost less than what just the wheel + TC discount costs from Ground Up.

Re: 70 steering wheel

DN,

I finally got around to getting some pictures of that sport wheel uploaded. Take a look at the interior pics by following the link in my signature. I'm pretty happy with it!

Thumbs up Re: 70 steering wheel

Looks good! Thanks for the pics. I was looking at that wheel for weeks and just never pulled the trigger. At least a TC guy got it. I'm sure there will be another coming along. Thanks

Re: 70 steering wheel

Just installed a (Grant) original style 3-spoke on my '70 Chevelle, genuine hardwood, walnut finish, metal inlays and bowtie on the horn. Got it from NPD (National Parts Depot) for $112.95. Good luck. PS: Am I allowed to mention a supplier by name? If not, my bad , won't happen again!
