Looking to change the old school steering wheel, the one I am using is very large flexible the extremely thin. Looking for something smaller and more modern.

Don’t remember exactly the one I bought. But they are some of the nicest steering wheels. Lots of options.

Re: Show me your steering wheel

I see that The Roadster Shop has used an OEM-style three spoke wheel on several of its GM builds. I figured out that it's the Grant 928 (black wood). I think RS repainted it to match the interior color on at least one build. This same wheel is available in dark stained wood (929) and light stained wood (930). It fits the factory hub, horn button, etc. This is a wood rim wheel, even the black 928. It's got a 14-1/2" rim and a 3" depth. Too bad they don't make a leather wrapped version of it.

Just ordered the Budnik Chicane 15" wheel, polished black for my '66. They do have nice looking wheels.

I debated on the size for way too long. So I went and measured almost every wheel I own...

Chevelle OEM: 16-1/2" diameter
Silverado: 15-1/2" diameter
Grand Cherokee: 15" diameter
2011 Camaro: 14-3/4" diameter

I figured the Budnik 13-3/4" would be much too small for the Chevelle, so went with the 15". We'll see, I can't afford a do over!

Does anybody make a modern version of the 1964 GTO steering wheel, probably the nicest for design and simplicity. Basic simple and elegant nothing else needed. Click image for larger version

Re: Show me your steering wheel

To Clint44:
That's a good looking wheel. I'm the OP on this thread, and am now thinking seriously about that wheel for my '67 Chevelle. What kind of adapter is required? I looked on the MOMO site and didn't find anything about adapters. I'm really not much of a mechanic so I'm not familiar with steering wheel swaps. I'd leave it to a mechanic friend to install it. Any further info is appreciated. Thanks.
