Re: Show me your steering wheel

Chevelle is stock. Impala SS has a Grant that is great! Excuse the dash mat, I just throw it up there when I store the car.

I've used similar wheels on other Chevelles and really like the smaller leather wheels. I think they were about 13 inchers.

Re: Show me your steering wheel

I‘ve used a Grant Classic Cruisn‘ steering Wheel in 13 1/2“.
After seven years, it looks like new, but the Horn Button is not the best, too...

Re: Show me your steering wheel

.. You asked for it.

$40 Vatozone special! If installed with spring out of box it will put so much tension on the horn button that'll randomly eject into your face while you're doing 60 mph all the while letting the horn just blare at anything around you. It's great!

Re: Show me your steering wheel

I don't have a picture of it in the car, but I debated between these two, kept the brushed aluminum one, and sent the shiny one back. 14 1/2 inch, leather wrapped. Fits the factory hub and the spokes have the proper depth/angle. My car is a 72 and I used the 70 horn button, which required using the 70 horn ring inside. Got everything from NPD.

Re: Show me your steering wheel

I have the one like Greg (Kirk's67SS) had in his old school days. I had the same 13 1/2 inch wheel on my original Chevelle without power steering, and it was a little bit of a chore in parking lots. My current Chevelle has power steering, so it isn't a problem. The sun does reflect against the chrome sometimes, but not a problem most of the time. The horn button has SS against a black background, and it works all of the time and it hasn't fallen off yet.

Is this from old and busted or new and shiny?

The wheel I had was blue. I don't think it looks too bad. Not the greatest picture tho.
Only downside is that it covers up the trim ring on the outside. But I'm gonna give it a try.
Who'd you buy the wrap from?

Disregard my question above, I see you've already answered the same question from someone else. Can't edit my post from just a few minutes ago, ridiculous!
