Al Knoch Buns

Has anyone tried Al Knoch buns? I know ACI have a good reputation but can't find any info on the Al Knock products.

Re: Al Knoch Buns

Where do you see that they are made by Al Knoch?

I would bet $$ these say "made in china" on the side of the box when they arrive.

The package contains two of these

The details are slim but here they are on the website:

Re: Al Knoch Buns

It does say Al Knoch Interiors under 'What's in the kit?'.

They do list seat foam in their Camaro catalog, but just about everything in that catalog looks like they're purchasing it from elsewhere.

Re: Al Knoch Buns

Interesting. I did not see any references in the original link, but i didn't dig very far.

Al knoch is known for good quality stuff.
Personally I don't like what i see in those pics based on previous experience with different buns.
Believe it or not there are 4-5 different companies making repop seat buns for these cars, and the quality varies widely. But they are just pics on a website.... Its hard to say until you have them in front of you.

In my opinion-
If you want to roll the dice- order those.
If you want to know you are getting the best... buy ACI.

BTW, ACI is made right here in Western Washington, the company down is in Shelton, WA.

Re: Al Knoch Buns

Well, I'm not too jazzed about these, the quality doesn't look great. There is a big void in one of the foams, some parts have largish bubbles near the foam surface, one of the backs has cloth that's not attached in one spot and looks like it's tearing off the foam... I think I'm going to have to send these back.
