Re: 68 doors on my 69 2dr hardtop - help...

If you have the '69 300 Deluxe 2dr sedan, then your doors, if '69, should have the same regulators as a '69 elcamino and I'm assuming the same as '68-'72 A body 2dr sedans and elcaminos. I pulled the guts from a '71 buick skylark post car and they used the same regs. The regs should have a stamped 27-78 and 27-79, respectively on the main arm, not sure which number belongs on which side of the car. The pivot arm should have a 27-80 stamped no matter which side the regs belong to.
I'm assuming the '68 300 sedan post cars would use the same regs, but not sure. Not sure you can purchase elky regs. To determine which year doors you have, look closely at the inner structure and you will see a code and date code. Post those numbers and we can help further.

Here are Pictures of the 1969 El camino window regulators if that helps you.
These are on Craigslist in Baltimore.

Thank you

Definitely 69 post doors, just need to get a tool shipped now to remove the winder clips to get the panels off!

Am assuming 68 regs will work as even the sport coupe in 68 has a vent window and so the main door glass is as per the post car, not huge like the 69 coupe

Thanks

These indeed look identical to the 68 regs available -
https://www.ecklerschevelle.com/chev...left-1968.html

perhaps as all chevelle's including the coupe had vents in 68 that this is the reg that continued past 68 in all non-coupes...
BillsCamino and RAMBO like this.
