Question 64-67 Ash Trays?

Are these all the same?

If not all, are any yrs the same?

Other A-bodies interchange with our 64-67 model ash tray?

TIA!

66 and 67 dash ashtrays are the same.

Ironically, they must be made of gold, because even with 900,000+/- sold for 66/67 (and the ashtrays are the same for SS/Malibu/300D/300/El Camino, etc), people selling ashtrays now want a small fortune... Glad I have mine...

I would assume 64 and 65 are the same.

64 and 65 interchange and 66 and 67 interchange. Interesting to add, the '67 chevy/gmc vans used the same ash tray as the '66 and '67 chevelle. The later vans had rounded corners and will not work.

how soon do you need one? I believe I have an extra, but all my smaller parts are packed away right now as we're in the process of selling our house and buying a new one. Might be a few months before I can get to it, not sure where it is in all the boxes. Do you need the slide mount or just the ashtray?

Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight,
I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off,
You know what I'm sayin',
Ahh, you reach down, put it between my legs 'n
ease the seat back,
She's runnin', I'm flyin',
Right behind in the rear view mirror now,
Got the fearin', power steerin',
Pistons poppin', ain't no stoppin' now,
PANAMA!

Gold and/or Unobtanium. I just needed the insert for the dash (SS) ashtray for the 70, finally found a gently used one locally, I paid 40 bucks.

Re: 64-67 Ash Trays?

when I sold my 64 el camino I kept the ashtray for my 66. it sort of fit but doesnt line up correctly. then I stopped by a guys house to pick up a few parts and laying in his scrap pile was a 66 ashtray assembly, got it for 5 bucks, sold my 64 ashtray for 40 bucks since I didnt need it. then a guys parting out a 67 el camino and I see a really nice ashtray assembly, got it for 5 bucks too!. just have to get off my lazy butt, drop the 3 gauge cluster so I can swap the whole assembly.
As the op said, ashtrays are priced crazy. jim
