Any good books?

I am looking for good how to books for engines. Specifically for carburetors.

How they work, how to tune and modify, to get max performance, power, etc. Do you know of any good ones?

I have several holleys and one edelbrock. Would like a book written for weekend mechanics, not an engineering student.

The carb is going on a 350 that will make about 400 HP.

Actually, if you know of any good "how it works", "how to maximize" books on any topic let me know.

Re: Any good books?

Go to

Enter "Holley carburetor book"

A list of such then appears.

Look @ each, paying attention to the reader/buyer reviews of each.

Select the one(s) that matches your needs.

Do more Amazon searches on David Vizard, & Reher-Morrison, & Baechtel & Tom Monroe

THEN google CarTech books

Hope this helps.

Re: Any good books?

Look for some Q-jet books as well. The more book learning/knowledge you get, the better off you are. Most love/hate one brand/type or another. Dont hate, Carburate!

I am still looking for that Qjet book I have had since High School.
