I vote for the Walker super turbos (or any turbo style as Tom recommends). You can visit with your passenger or listen to the radio while cruising, but they sound great when you really get on it.

Re: True Duals Muffler!?!

WOW this is an old thread.

Ok as for mufflers. For years I was a Flowmaster 40 series guy. Yes they droned but they also sounded badass. Ha ha.

However after a period of time it seemed like every single car at a cruise night sounded the same. One night I heard a 5.0 Mustang pull into a cruise night with a new and unique sound. I asked him what mufflers he was running and he told me Spintech. I figured if they sounded that good on a 5.0 Mustang, how good would they sound behind a big block Chevy.

I had a brand new 2-1/2" mandrel bent system with Spintech mufflers installed on my previous car a big block 73 Camaro and it sounded killer. I'm currently running a Pypes 2-1/2" system with Pypes mufflers on my Chevelle and as soon as I can, I'm having the Pypes mufflers swapped out for Spintech's.

My car is a weekend cruiser that sees about 500-1000 miles per year. I don't care about flow numbers, what I care about is how badass my car sounds and that's why I chose Spintech.

Re: True Duals Muffler!?!

Does anybody make mufflers like these? I have them in 3" ins & outs on the Monte and everybody loves how they sound.

Re: True Duals Muffler!?!

I always end up back with the Dynomax #17749... Those Edelbrock RPM Series mufflers look interesting..
