Re: True Duals Muffler!?!
WOW this is an old thread.
Ok as for mufflers. For years I was a Flowmaster 40 series guy. Yes they droned but they also sounded badass. Ha ha.
However after a period of time it seemed like every single car at a cruise night sounded the same. One night I heard a 5.0 Mustang pull into a cruise night with a new and unique sound. I asked him what mufflers he was running and he told me Spintech. I figured if they sounded that good on a 5.0 Mustang, how good would they sound behind a big block Chevy.
I had a brand new 2-1/2" mandrel bent system with Spintech mufflers installed on my previous car a big block 73 Camaro and it sounded killer. I'm currently running a Pypes 2-1/2" system with Pypes mufflers on my Chevelle and as soon as I can, I'm having the Pypes mufflers swapped out for Spintech's.
My car is a weekend cruiser that sees about 500-1000 miles per year. I don't care about flow numbers, what I care about is how badass my car sounds and that's why I chose Spintech.
