I just picked these up for 20.00. New moroso solid mounts. They are the correct 2 5/8” width I need since I have the 307 car. They are 1 3/4” deep. I realized without the rubber padding they set up almost 1 inch.I realized without the rubber padding they set up almost 1 inch. Is this how they are ? I’ve never used solid mounts. I keep tearing the store brand mounts and didn’t want to go that route, and can’t really afford the energy suspension ones right now. Any help is appreciated.
They are identical dimensions of my stock 307 mounts, just no rubber. I just thought it was strange sitting up off of the frame mount like that, but every pic I can google shows typically same setup even on ls swaps .
Doing so with the solid mount on the driver side, will stop the issues of motor mount failure on the driver side, while not over stressing the chassis as it torque distorts and moves during acceleration and deceleration.
I use a solid on the driver side, poly on the pass and trans in most applications.
