3933163 intake manifold questions

Running a Gen 5 502- intake manifold #3933163 with Edelbrock rpm performer heads Fi tech efi system car runs great ,strong , I’m wondering if I can gain more power with a different intake manifold. I have heard this a good intake but wondering if I can get some more power running another intake if so which one and if it is even worth the money to spend ? Any thoughts ? Haven’t ran it on a dyno yet. But looking for some great ideas. Thanks

Re: 3933163 intake manifold questions

What's power to you? Torgue, responsiveness, and driveability or raw horsepower numbers?

I like the Edelbrock RPM Airgap for the first and Wiend Team G for the second.

I doubt you will notice a seat of the pants difference in the 3933163 intake manifold and RPM. But you might lose some driveability with the Team G but gain on the dyno hp numbers.

Looking for a better drive across the board more hp and torque, responsiveness, more power At higher rpm range. So just wanted to see if there is any improvements I can do with a new intake. I like the Edelbrock rpm air gap as well. I was lookIng to see if I can get some opinions to see if it’s even worth it and if I will gain anything at all.

Re: 3933163 intake manifold questions

I have a friend who runs an A/S 69 Camaro with the 163 intake on his 396. He said the GM Bowtie (RPM copy) is worth 10hp and some torque. If it's a street car you might not know the difference. The 163 intake is pretty good.

what 68 said, you may be leaving 10 hp on the table is all. You'll never notice it. There is a reason the 163 is so copied.

Here is something you could do with a little labor to get that 10hp for free on the 163 intake. Mill the divider just like the RPM air gap.
Her's mine on my 163 intake.

Seems like everyone is on the same page might not be worth the money.
