As I mentioned in another thread or two, I've been working with Mark Jones on building me a nice, mellow cruiser big block for my '72.
I decided upon his basic 467 with a few upgrades (roller cam, forged pistons, etc.) It finally arrived yesterday!
He dyno'd it in at 538 hp @5600 and 569 ft lbs of torque @ 4000 using my 770 Ultra Street Avenger vacuum secondary carb and MSD Pro Billet distributor, on 91 pump gas, and has estimated 9.4:1 compression. It has a nice, big flat torque curve, and Mark was very pleased with this build. Working with him was awesome.
Yes - I had him paint it blue, and it has a black oil pan with his custom oiling modifications along with a black base/metering block carb. It's going into my blue with black stripes car - I'm trying to be color coordinated.
Had a few air cleaner decals made up too.
The only downside is that the cars are getting put away for the winter. I won't be able to drive it around until springtime, so sometime between now and then I'll gather up the rest of what is needed to swap it in, and sometime next spring I'll be reporting back on how it goes.
Oh, yeah, pictures or it never happened...
