66 BB carb

Can I use a 66 BB carb, on a 1979 350 small block motor or not.

The 66 carb uses a divorced choke that probably isn't compatible with the later model engine.

Re: 66 BB carb

a complete "Correct" dated 66 BB carb is worth a good bit. cheaper off the shelf Holley 600 cfm carbs might be a better choice

Re: 66 BB carb

I got like 4 or 5 of them, iam saving 1 for my 396 block. As for now I have a 350 chevy 4 bolt main in the car. I just needed to know if I could put it on the 350.

Re: 66 BB carb

Sure you can just don't hook the choke up.OR depending on what intake manifold you have you could hook up the choke coil to the choke rod.

Re: 66 BB carb

Are you talking the Q-jet or the 375hp Holley?

Re: 66 BB carb

As long as you have the same choke set up on the small block, yes. If you don't you can still use it, you'll just have to figure something out for the choke.
