Aervoe Chevy Orange Engine paint

FYI, I asked the engine builder what he was using to paint the engine as I wanted to shoot the water pump in the same manufacture/ shade.

Man, this paint lays down SUPER nice! Never heard of it, and thought I'd share. https://aervoe.com

Re: Aervoe Chevy Orange Engine paint

Had a friend that had a paint store mix up some paint for a spray gun for his 66 l79 nova. He wasn't to happy because after spraying the paint it was to shiny. He was really po when he put his garage door down afterwards. Duplicolor is a good match.

You and me both Tom; I thought I bought a CAN for near $50, but I wanted a 100% color match, so I pulled the trigger. I got a six pack. (Anyone want one?) Just did the scattershield's engine plate yesterday. I love this paint.

Al, marbles seem to be fallin' out my head daily.....!

Dave the AerVoe does seem to be rather glossy. I dont mind that for engine paint, ( just not fenderwells) makes it easy to clean. Duplicolor was my "go to" as well.

Gene,

I'm almost ready to paint my 327. I'll subsidize your expenses & take a few off your hands if you wouldn't mind shipping to me out here in Vegas? Do you take paypal!

Re: Aervoe Chevy Orange Engine paint

Ya for sure.

I've already used near one can, and would like to keep a stash so, Pete's the one and done deal. Let me at least keep 2 Pete, if I could. It coats really nice. I barely needed a 2nd topcoat on the water pump, whereas the engine plate and safety loop took two coats to cover their "ills".

Wish I could pickup a can or two of their steel to see how it lays down. Got a black Denny's HD shaft I'd like to make look more natural.

Let me know if you find any steel looking paint. I've been searching and trying different paints forever, with no acceptable results. My driveshaft has a blue tint to it and that was about the tenth try of sanding, priming and painting.
