Procomp Electronics forged pistons

I saw an ad for them on eBay. Never heard of them. Any feedback?

Have any of you actually used a set of these pistons and experienced a failure ??? Unless you have please refrain from negative comments. It goes against this sites "vendor bashing" policy.

can you post a link? I tried searching for them but nothing comes up. I'm not trying to buy them, just curious.

Re: Procomp Electronics forged pistons

I wasn't aware that Procomp/Speedmaster was actually a contributing vendor here. I've never seen a single post from them - ever.

The rule applies to any vendor, contributing vendor or not.

It has nothing to do with whether they are a vendor here. If you read the warning when you start a new thread it asks that there be no vendor bashing. This means anyone. Its not fair to say something bad about someone if you dont have actual experience with the product.

If you have used something and had an issue, that is a different story and as long as you state the actual facts its not an issue. To just say that a product is junk because of internet hearsay is not fair.

Re: Procomp Electronics forged pistons

I have had personal experience with their cylinder heads and they are junk. They ended up costing me a lot of time and money.

I worked in a machine shop. Used just about every procomp product and can say we had many failures.

Re: Procomp Electronics forged pistons

I have experience with their roller rocker arms. Since we cant bash them, all I can say is I wouldnt buy any of their products ever again, for any reason. The only reason why I bought the arms is because I was a 19 year old kid that didnt know any better and the machine shop my 454 was at essentially pawned them off on me.
