The air cleaner looks good the way it is to me. If you think it is too much, you could paint the grooves black and leave the top ridges alone. I think it would look great either way. Defiantly envious.

Re: Engine bay pictures

If you wanted to see what your cleaner lid looks like black, go get a can of black plastidip from your local auto parts store. Spray it on, if you don't like it, just peel it off. There's tons of info / videos to review if you're interested. Good luck!

Engine bay looks great!

I think Keith maybe on to something in painting the grooves black, Would give it a little contrast.

I know it is "my car" but I always enjoy getting feedback and opinions from others on here.

You like the look of the K&N better?

Just a thought, maybe powder coat the air cleaner black but leave the "grooves" on it polished? would really match the valve covers then.
I meant the silver/chrome/polished one. And yes, maybe black with the grooves polished would look best. I like the idea of temporary paint/peel off to test.

Re: Engine bay pictures

Looks great Pat. I like either the K&N you switched too, or something black, or just a plain chrome one. Didnít you have a black one that matched the valve covers? Either way great job, on a great car!

Thanks Dave!! I will tinker with the black one. I did have the matching billet specialties top but was not wild about it, it just did not have a muscle car look to it.

Lots of ways to go, paint the grooves body color or if more north colour.
