Aeromotive 18404 - Aeromotive Gen II Stealth Fuel Tanks

Just saw this and looks like they maybe solved the fuel starvation problems. Early August looks like it will be available. I was gonna sump a new tank and get a belt drive fuel pump because I have a gen 5 block and didn't want an external pump hanging out the back of the car. What's everybody think?

Good find. I've been holding out waiting for a fix to the fuel starvation problem. Not everyone had the problem but enough did that I was hoping an answer would come along.

I didn't think belt drive pumps were recommended for applications that had to pull fuel from the rear?

I've read people using the belt drives and not had a problem as long as you get the pump mounted low enough. This will definitely save me some money. I hate to buy something new as soon as it comes out but I am gonna jump on this.

Looks like they're going to be a couple hundred dollars less, too. I wonder how that's possible.

Me too. Did you get yours yet? I'm about ready to order one but I want to know what you think of it first.

Saw this the day it came out. Definitely selling my mechanical fuel pump to go ahead and pick up one of these!

Re: Aeromotive 18404 - Aeromotive Gen II Stealth Fuel Tanks

First saw the 18402 tank at Summit with the estimated delivery date of 08/09/2018. Placed my order on 08/10/2018 and the estimated delivery date was changed to 08/27/2018. I called Aeromotive and was given a shipping date on or about 09/15/2018. Don't know if they will fill the retail orders first. Stayed with Summit and used their 50th anniversary code and saved $50.00 off the $561 price. Final cost of $511. Excellent price.

I did the same, but I wonder if they will honor the discount since you are not charged untill it ships. My final price did not show the discount.
